DAYTONA BEACH, FL – A Georgia couple was arrested in Daytona Beach, facing charges of child neglect and other offenses. Alyssia Langley and her fiancé Timothy Stephens were apprehended after police discovered them intoxicated and unconscious on the beach, with their young children nowhere in sight.

Upon awakening, Langley and Stephens appeared unaware of the whereabouts of their two children, ages 5 and 7. Stephens attempted to flee the scene after being handcuffed but was promptly subdued by the authorities. The children were later found safe at a hotel pool.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood expressed astonishment at the couple’s recklessness. He criticized their ability to parent, suggesting their actions reflect broader issues affecting children’s behavior and well-being.

The children were found unattended at a nearby hotel pool. The children were taken to a nearby family resource center where they were being cared for by officials.
