CAMDEN, N.J. — Iran Soler, a 44-year-old Philadelphia resident, has been sentenced to over four years in prison for his role in a drug-trafficking organization that operated across Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Soler admitted to conspiring to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, a charge to which he pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Christine P. O’Hearn. The sentencing took place today in Camden federal court.

Court documents and statements reveal that between March 2019 and August 2020, Soler and his accomplices frequently traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico. They engaged in transactions with wholesale drug suppliers, purchasing multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine. These drugs were then shipped overnight from San Juan to Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, where they were distributed for profit.

The operation involved the shipment of over 100 kilograms of cocaine to the Philadelphia area and southern New Jersey. In addition to his prison sentence, Soler has been sentenced to five years of supervised release.

Jose Gonzalez, an associate involved in the conspiracy, has also pled guilty and awaits sentencing on April 29, 2024.
