Teen, Adult Accomplice Arrested for Violent Assault and Robbery in Utica

UTICA, NY – Utica Police units responded to a robbery report at the intersection of Arthur St and Taylor Ave at around 12:10 PM. The victim reported that multiple assailants emerged from a vehicle, assaulted him, and stole cash, his cell phone, and groceries.

The victim received medical attention for his injuries at Wynn Hospital, courtesy of the Utica Fire Department. The Juvenile Aid Unit took charge of the investigation, which led to the swift identification and arrest of the suspects involved.

18-year-old Ja Lar Dee from Utica faces charges of second-degree robbery and third-degree assault. A 13-year-old male, whose name has been withheld, is also charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree assault.
