Ja’shawn Moore, 19, of Dover, Delaware, has been arrested by Delaware State Police detectives on multiple charges related to a shooting incident in Millsboro. Authorities are also seeking the public’s help in identifying additional suspects involved in the incident.

The shooting occurred on June 2, 2023, around 11:06 p.m. at Paradise Grill on Bay Road. Troopers responded to reports of shots fired and learned that a group of black men had been involved in a fight with a white man inside the bar. After being escorted outside by bouncers, the group attempted to engage in another altercation with the white man as he left with two women. Gunshots were fired as the group chased after the car containing the white man and the women.

No injuries were reported, but the car carrying three individuals was struck by gunfire. Despite an extensive investigation, no suspects were initially identified. However, detectives later identified Moore as one of the suspects involved in the shooting.

On March 19, 2024, Moore was apprehended by troopers and charged with the crimes associated with the shooting. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution on $87,000 cash bond.

Delaware State Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the identity of additional suspects to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
