Detectives in Baltimore Announce Multiple Arrests

BALTIMORE, MD – In a recent operation, Baltimore Police Department has made multiple arrests across the city, addressing handgun, drug violations, and other criminal activities.

In the Northwest District, patrol officers apprehended a 52-year-old man after observing a running, unoccupied vehicle during business checks on Belvedere Avenue early in the morning. The man, who attempted to obstruct the police investigation, was found with illegal items in the vehicle and was arrested given his prohibition from owning firearms or ammunition.

In another case, a Southeast District Action Team officer, operating from a covert position on North Curley Street, noticed an armed individual. With support from Foxtrot and district patrol units, an 18-year-old suspect was arrested, and a loaded firearm was confiscated.


A Western District officer, while on a traffic detail, pursued a stolen vehicle which led to the arrest of a 15-year-old male driver and his 16-year-old female passenger. The operation was supported by Foxtrot, which helped in tracking and guiding the ground officers to the suspects’ location.

Additionally, in a significant development related to an attempted murder case in the Northeast District, 21-year-old Zahlir Gantt was arrested for a shooting incident. The arrest was made following investigative efforts that linked Gantt to the shooting of a 26-year-old male victim. Gantt faces charges including four counts of attempted first-degree murder.
