70-Year-Old Man Attacked and Robbed at Bronx ATM


NEW YORK, NY
– Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a violent robbery that occurred in the Bronx.

On Sunday, March 24, at around 1:15 PM, a 70-year-old man was attacked from behind by an unidentified male while entering his apartment building near Anderson Avenue and Jerome Avenue. The assailant hit the victim on the head with an unknown object, then forcibly took the victim’s wallet containing credit cards and a MetroCard. The attacker fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim with minor injuries and bruises. The victim was subsequently taken to a local hospital privately.

The suspect is a 50-year-old male with a dark complexion, standing 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last observed wearing a blue jacket, jeans, black sneakers, a blue winter hat, and a black book bag. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in apprehending the perpetrator.
