Armed Robbery in D.C. Caught On Camera

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is asking the community to help identify a suspect in an armed robbery in Edgewood. The incident occurred at a gas station on the 400 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast, at approximately 12:45 a.m.

The victim was approached by the suspect, who requested a dollar. After the victim ignored the suspect, an attempt was made to steal the victim’s credit card, leading to a physical altercation. The suspect then brandished a knife, secured the credit card, and escaped from the location.

Authorities have released images of the suspect, captured on nearby cameras, in hopes that members of the public can assist in the identification. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact D.C. Metro Police at 202-727-9099 or submit anonymous tips to the TEXT TIP LINE by texting 50411.
