D.C. Shooting Leaves One Man Dead

Washington, D.C. – D.C. Police are currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the early hours in Northeast D.C. Officers were called to the scene around 2:16 a.m. after reports of gunshots were heard in the 300 block of 59th Street.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the family is notified.

The D.C. Metro Police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and contact them at 202-727-9099. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via text to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
