BALTIMORE, MD – Baltimore police have made a significant breakthrough in a homicide investigation dating back to March 15, when 35-year-old Lenora Alston was fatally shot in the 1000 block of Fulton Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. The suspect, 30-year-old Reginald Peay of Baltimore, was apprehended by authorities.

Investigations revealed that Peay was responsible for the shooting death of Alston. At the time of his arrest, Peay was already detained at the Central Booking Intake Facility on unrelated handgun charges. On March 21, he was officially charged with first-degree murder in connection to Alston’s death.

Currently, Reginald Peay is being held without bail as the legal proceedings continue. This arrest brings a new development in the ongoing effort to address violent crimes in the Western District.
