Baltimore Man Charged with First-Degree Murder in Fatal Shooting Of Woman

BALTIMORE, MD — In a significant development related to the homicide on March 15, 30-year-old Reginald Peay of Baltimore has been arrested and charged with the murder of 35-year-old Lenora Alston. The incident occurred in the 1000 block of Fulton Avenue just after 2 a.m.

Investigators have determined that Peay shot and killed Alston during the early hours. Initially detained at the Central Booking Intake Facility for a handgun violation, Peay was formally charged with first-degree murder on March 21.

Reginald Peay is now being held without bail, awaiting further legal proceedings. The arrest follows a swift investigation by the Western District patrol officers who responded to the scene after reports of gunfire, finding Alston with fatal gunshot wounds. She was transported to an area hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
