Dog Attack in Northeast D.C. Injures Three

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A woman and two children were hospitalized following a dog attack in Northeast Washington. The incident occurred in the 800 block of 49th Street shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Monday. All victims were conscious and breathing when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

A D.C. Metro Police Department officer, who witnessed the attack, intervened by shooting the dog, resulting in the animal’s death.

The victims, whose identities have not been disclosed, received immediate medical attention for their injuries.
