WASHINGTON, D.C.
– In a heartwarming resolution, a stolen French Bulldog named Recardito has been safely reunited with its owner, courtesy of the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Third District. However, the search for the suspect responsible for the theft is still underway.

On the early morning of Sunday, March 24, at 3:01 a.m., an individual’s vehicle, with Recardito inside, was stolen from the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. The owner discovered the theft upon returning to where the car was parked.

The stolen vehicle was found on Monday, and by Monday evening, Recardito was back with his owner, thanks to diligent efforts by detectives. Images capturing their reunion have been shared.

Authorities have obtained footage of the suspect from nearby cameras. The D.C. Metro Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to 50411, advising against direct intervention.
