Toms River Animal Shelter’s Fiesty Overseer Up for Adoption

Local News Report

TOMS RIVER, NJ – If you ever visited the Toms River Animal Shelter, you might have noticed who is the boss at the facility. Her name is Penny, and she’s a black and white medium-haired domesticated cat. She has ruled the roost for quite some time, but now it’s time for her to find a new job.

She has been put up for adoption by the township as her tenure as overseer of the facility comes to an end.

“I know what you are thinking, “All cats think they are royalty…” Well that is true, the difference here is that I am right. I am the biggest princess here at the shelter. I love to be taken care of. I love warm and soft cozy beds. Chairs, tables, desks, clipboards, shoulders, etc are all close seconds. I like to be involved. I am very vocal cat who likes to boss people around. Most would call me a micromanager. But if everyone just did what they needed to, I wouldn’t have to be so bossy… Makes sense, right?” her adoption notice reads.

“I am normally in the lobby waiting to make visiting people pet me. Managing is a hard job, but someone has to do it,” Penny said.
