Tractor Trailer Driver Who Killed 82-Year-Old E-Bike Rider in Hit and Run Arrested

QUEENS, NY — A tragic incident occurred early on the morning of December 28, when an 82-year-old man riding an electric bicycle was killed in a collision with a flatbed tractor-trailer in Queens. The accident took place at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Parsons Boulevard, according to police.

The collision occurred at 6:12 AM, involving the elderly cyclist heading east in the left turn lane of Northern Boulevard. He was making a left turn onto the westbound lanes when he collided with the westbound tractor-trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not stop and left the scene.

Emergency services pronounced the cyclist dead at the location of the accident. The victim was later identified as 81-year-old Peter Seo of Queens. No arrests were initially made, but the investigation continued under the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.


Following the investigation, 27-year-old Kyle R. Schreiber from Hauppauge, NY, was arrested. Schreiber faces charges for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. The ongoing investigation aims to bring further details to light, with the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad leading the effort.
