MARYLAND – In the aftermath of the excitement surrounding the first Mega Millions jackpot win of 2024, Maryland celebrates five residents who each secured a $10,000 third-tier prize in the drawing on Tuesday, March 26.

The lucky tickets were sold at diverse locations across the state, including 7 to 10 Market in Mt. Rainier, Giant #366 in Silver Spring, Martin’s #6003 in Cumberland, River Hill Sunoco in Clarksville, and Shore Stop #240 in Preston. The winning numbers for this draw were 7, 11, 22, 29, and 38, with the gold Mega Ball being 4.

The $10,000 prize winner achieved this by matching four of the regular numbers in addition to the Mega Ball. Lottery officials advise winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a secure place until claiming their prizes, which must be done within 182 days of the draw.

The recent Mega Millions jackpot, ranking as the fifth largest in the game’s history, not only brought significant wins to players but also contributed nearly $10 million in revenue to the state of Maryland. This 15-week jackpot roll also added over $3.9 million in prizes to Maryland players, marking a notable period of lottery excitement in the state.
