WASHINGTON, DC – The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Fifth District has announced the arrest of two teenagers following an unarmed carjacking incident in Northeast D.C.
The event unfolded on March 28 at around 8:50 p.m. at the intersection of 12th Street and Jackson Street NE. According to the victim, she was sitting in her vehicle when two individuals demanded her keys. They then forcibly removed her from the vehicle and drove away.
Officers quickly responded to the situation, locating the stolen vehicle a short while later on the 500 block of S Street NW. Following a traffic stop, two males, aged 14 and 15, both residents of Northeast, were taken into custody. They have been charged with Unarmed Carjacking.
