ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The Atlantic City Police Department has apprehended 64-year-old Robert Parker, a wanted fugitive from Philadelphia, PA, found in possession of a rifle and additional ammunition. The arrest occurred on April 9, 2024, at around 2:31 PM on the first block of South Kentucky Avenue.

Officers Matthew Stollenwerk and Robert Thompson were dispatched following a report of an unknown weapon spotted in a bag by an alert EMT from Exceptional Medical Transport. The medical team was attending to Parker, who was undergoing a medical emergency at the time. Upon inspection, officers discovered a loaded rifle with two additional magazines in Parker’s possession.

An active warrant for Parker’s arrest was confirmed by police, originating from Philadelphia. Following the discovery, Parker was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of a non-life-threatening condition. He is now in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
