Newark, NJ – Two individuals were rushed to the hospital after being struck by a stolen vehicle at the New Cozy Corner Bar & Grill in Newark late Saturday night. The incident occurred around 11:59 p.m. at the intersection of S. 12th Street and South Orange Avenue, as Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé reported.
Police say the vehicle was carjacked just a few blocks away from the crash site.
Both victims were immediately transported to University Hospital for medical care, with the female victim listed in critical condition.
Following the crash, it was discovered that the car involved had been stolen at S 12th Street and 15th Avenue just before the collision.
