Florida Man Pleads Guilty for Assaulting Police During Jan. 6 Riot

Marathon, FL – Bryan Roger Bishop, 51, admitted to spraying a chemical irritant at police during the Jan. 6, 2021, riots at the U.S. Capitol. He pleaded guilty to a felony charge and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 29.

A statement of facts detailed the incident, with Bishop using an orange-colored chemical irritant on the officers. Nicknamed #UnderHelmetSprayer, Bishop targeted officers during the riots, causing one officer temporary blindness.
