New Jersey Woman Struck by NJ Transit Train in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, NJ – A severe incident occurred on Saturday evening at the Morristown NJ Transit station where a woman sustained a significant leg injury after being struck by a train.

NJ Transit officials reported that emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly before 7:25 PM to assist the injured woman on the platform. She was promptly transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment. The train involved was Morris & Essex Line train 6936, which had left Dover at 7:05 PM and was due to arrive at Penn Station in New York at 8:40 PM.

There were no other injuries reported among the passengers or crew on board. Following the incident, train 6936 was cancelled at Morristown, and passengers were accommodated on a subsequent train. The New Jersey Transit Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
