TOMS RIVER, NJ – In a Toms River courtroom, Christopher Gregor faced emotionally charged proceedings over the death of his son, Corey Micciolo, who was 6 years old. The case drew heightened attention as evidence was presented, detailing the tragic events leading to Corey’s death from what a pathologist described as “stress cardiomyopathy,” a heart condition often triggered by severe stress, such as abuse.
During the court session, it was revealed that Corey suffered “fatal heart stress” before succumbing to injuries from a final beating. Adding to the grim narrative, a nurse testified that Gregor walked out of the emergency room, leaving his son surrounded by strangers in his last moments, showing no emotion. Security footage captured Gregor leaving the hospital just 20 minutes after Corey was pronounced dead.

He remains incarcerated in the Ocean County Jail during his trial.
