Fatal Single-Car Accident on Route 15

JEFFERSON TWP., NJ – Authorities reported a fatal accident that occurred on Route 15 in Morris County on Sunday. A single vehicle was involved in the crash on the southbound side near mile post 3.5 around 1:25 a.m. The driver, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jefferson Township Police Capt. Robert Bush confirmed the response of local police to the incident. Additionally, Jefferson Twp. Fire Co No. 2, the Jefferson Township Rescue Squad, the Morris County Crash Team, and the office of the Morris County Medical Examiner provided assistance at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
