NEW YORK, NY—The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a lewd act aboard a southbound “1” train near Whitehall Street and South Street, approaching South Ferry. The incident occurred on Monday, May 13, at approximately 2:00 PM.
A 37-year-old female reported that an unidentified male exposed himself and committed a lewd act while on the train. Following the act, the suspect fled the scene on foot to an unknown location. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported in connection with this incident.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, around 35 years old, standing 6’1” tall and weighing about 265 lbs. He has long black dreadlocks and brown eyes. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white t-shirt, a black hooded zip sweatshirt, gray pants, and black shoes.
The NYPD is urging anyone with information about this individual or the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation and ensure the safety of all subway passengers.

- Utica Police Respond to Robbery and Pursue Suspect in Stolen Vehicle
Utica, NY - On June 12, 2024, at approximately 5:00 AM, Utica Police units were dispatched to the 200 block of Genesee St regarding a motor vehicle robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who explained that as he was arriving to work, he stepped out of his vehicle to check on something, leaving the driver side door open. When he turned back, he noticed a naked man entering the vehicle in an attempt to steal it. The victim attempted to grab the suspect but was unable to get a firm hold due to the suspect's lack of clothing.
A struggle ensued, and the victim managed to grab the suspect's hair from the rear seat as the suspect began to drive away. The victim was dragged by the vehicle and eventually released his grip to avoid further injury, falling to the ground.
A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert was issued for the stolen vehicle. Deputies from the Oneida Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle, but the suspect failed to comply, leading to a pursuit. The vehicle was ultimately stopped in Madison County, and the suspect, identified as Xavier Holmes, 30, of Utica, was arrested and later transported back to the Utica Police Department.
Holmes was charged with Robbery in the second degree. Additional charges under the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law will be levied by the respective agencies involved.
- Raid on Utica Homes Unravels Large Drug Network
Utica, NY - On June 12, 2024, Utica Police investigators from the Special Investigations Unit concluded an extensive investigation into narcotics sale and distribution following the execution of several search warrants.
With the support of the Utica Police Patrol Division, Oneida County Sheriff Office Narcotics Unit, and METRO SWAT, the search warrants led to the arrest of Joshua Robinson, 36, of Utica. Robinson faces multiple charges, including three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug in the 4th degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell methamphetamine, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance/Narcotic, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree involving diluents, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd degree involving scales.
During the search, authorities seized cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Additional arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.
- Pickpockets Arrested in Brick
Brick Township, NJ - Brick Township Police Chief David Forrester announced that three individuals have been charged in connection with a series of distraction pickpocket thefts reported in May.
Oswaldo Uribe-Acosta, 35, Salvia Beraun-Villanueva, 27, and Oscar Lopez-Salcedo, 58, all from Paterson, New Jersey, were charged on June 11 with theft by unlawful taking, theft of property lost or mislaid, and computer criminal activity.
In May, Brick Township Police received multiple reports of wallets and purses being stolen from victims inside retail stores. The thefts involved a female suspect distracting the victim while a male accomplice removed the items from the victim or their shopping cart. The suspects then used the stolen credit cards at various stores, including Trader Joe's, Target, Best Buy, and Costco.
Chief Forrester praised the collaborative efforts of the Brick Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Stafford Township Police Department, Montvale Police Department, and Cherry Hill Police Department in the investigation.
Shoppers are reminded to remain vigilant and keep their belongings secure while in stores.
All charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
- Pittsfield Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Fenn Street
PITTSFIELD, MA - The Pittsfield Police Department is currently investigating the suspected homicide of Ryan P. Babcock, which occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 11th, on the 500 block of Fenn Street.
Responding to a call at approximately 4:30 pm, police officers found Babcock unresponsive in the driver's seat of a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving attempts by paramedics, Babcock was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting was not random, and there is believed to be no immediate threat to the public. However, with no suspects currently identified, authorities are urging the community to remain alert and report any unusual activities.
The Berkshire District Attorney’s Office and the State Police Detective Unit are assisting with the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Pittsfield Police Department.
- Man Injured in Baltimore Shooting
Baltimore, MD – The Northeastern District is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning.
At approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded to a hospital for reports of a walk-in shooting victim, but the victim had left before they arrived. Shortly after, at 6:45 a.m., officers were called to the 7000 block of McClean Boulevard, where they found a 34-year-old male victim with a graze wound to his arm.
The victim reported that the incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Detectives have located a crime scene and are continuing their investigation.
