BALTIMORE, MD—A serious assault in Baltimore’s Central District has led to the arrest of 27-year-old Carlton Brooks, following a violent incident that left a man with severe injuries. The assault occurred in the early hours of Friday, near the downtown area.
At around 2:54 a.m., Central District patrol officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Mulberry Street following reports of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male with serious facial and head injuries. The victim, who was not identified, was found to have been sleeping on the ground in the nearby 400 block of Cathedral Street when he was unexpectedly attacked.
The victim was quickly attended to by medics and transported to a local hospital for urgent treatment. During the investigation, police were able to identify the assailant as Carlton Brooks, a Baltimore resident. His arrest followed swiftly after the incident.
