SCRANTON, PA– Curtis Margle, 34, of Lehighton, Carbon County, was sentenced to 132 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute crystal methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down on May 21, 2024, by U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Margle pleaded guilty to possessing between 200 and 350 grams of high-quality crystal methamphetamine for distribution in the Schuylkill County and Carbon County areas in 2022. The investigation revealed that investigators made a purchase from Margle in March 2022 in Schuylkill County and later seized an additional quantity of methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert J. O’Hara prosecuted the case.
This prosecution is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities. SALISBURY, MD—An outdoor fire investigation has been initiated following an incident on Thursday afternoon at 7511 Titleist Drive in Salisbury, Wicomico County. The fire involved a trash pile located behind a residential shed and was discovered by the property owner.
The fire, which occurred at approximately 4:43 PM, did not result in any injuries or damage to the shed or its contents. No firefighters were called to the scene, and there were no alarms reported.

- Manhunt For Suspect Who Robbed Group of Children at Knifepoint Inside Queens Park
QUEENS, NY—In a distressing incident at Kissena Park, near Colden Street and Kalmia Avenue, two 13-year-olds were accosted by an unidentified man on Thursday afternoon. At around 3:30 PM, the assailant, brandishing a knife, forced the teenagers—a boy and a girl—into a nearby wooded area where he robbed and assaulted them.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with curly hair, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, was last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack.
He has dental braces and a distinctive tattoo of either a boar or a bull with red eyes on his chest. After committing the assault and robbery, he fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victims to a local hospital, where they were listed in stable condition. The attack has prompted a police search for the suspect, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward to help ensure community safety.
