WOODBRIDGE, VA—Gregory Marsalis Robinson, a 31-year-old resident of Woodbridge, was arrested on May 23 following an incident that occurred the previous day at the 7-Eleven on 2990 Dale Blvd. Robinson faces charges including one count of malicious wounding, two counts of brandishing a firearm, and one count of assault & battery.
The arrest stems from an altercation reported on May 22 at approximately 11:46 AM. According to police, two men, aged 26 and 53, were parked at a gas pump when Robinson, driving a white Buick, parked in front of their vehicle. Robinson then exited his Buick, initiating a verbal confrontation with the two men while displaying a firearm in his waistband.
The dispute escalated when Robinson pushed the 26-year-old man and subsequently retrieved an extendable metal baton, with which he struck the 53-year-old multiple times. The older victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Robinson fled the scene before the police arrived, prompting an investigation that led to the issuance of arrest warrants.
Details regarding Robinson’s court date and bond status are pending as the case continues to develop.
