MAGNOLIA, DE – An 18-year-old Magnolia resident, Robert Cox 4th, has been arrested by Delaware State Police for multiple gun-related offenses following a threatening incident on Friday evening.

The incident occurred on May 31 at around 10:53 p.m. at a residence on Grays Lane. According to reports, two women, ages 20 and 21, visited Cox’s home to retrieve personal property. During the encounter, Cox reportedly armed himself with a long gun from a pickup truck and aimed it at the 20-year-old woman seated in her car. He then threatened the 21-year-old woman with the same weapon as she approached the vehicle. Cox escalated the situation by pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the 20-year-old, issuing further threats. He concluded his threatening display by firing a round into the air. Fortunately, neither victim was injured.

Cox was apprehended without further incident and taken to Troop 3. A subsequent computer search uncovered an active court order against Cox, stemming from previous charges, which prohibited him from possessing any deadly weapons or ammunition. He has been charged with several offenses and was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7. Cox is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution with bail set at $95,020 cash.
