TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Police Department (TRPD) has kicked off Operation Brain Freeze 2024, enhancing its initiative to promote bicycle safety among children. This year, officers will be distributing an increased number of “summonses” to kids observed wearing their helmets and adhering to traffic laws.

These special summonses are actually rewards, entitling young cyclists to treats from participating local businesses. The initiative aims to encourage safe biking practices while engaging the community in a fun and rewarding manner.
