New York City Bus Driver Sabbed in the Neck

BROOKLYN, NY — The New York City Police Department is urgently requesting the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in the stabbing of a 60-year-old MTA bus operator. The assault occurred on Saturday, June 8, at approximately 11:30 AM aboard a B99 bus on Pitkin Avenue near Alabama Avenue, within the 75th Precinct.

During a dispute, the assailant used an unknown sharp object to stab the bus operator in the neck. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on Pitkin Avenue. The injured bus operator was promptly transported to Brookdale University and Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Authorities have released images of the suspect and are seeking assistance from anyone who may have information regarding his identity or whereabouts. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of transit workers, and the NYPD is committed to apprehending the individual responsible.
