STAFFORD, VA— A late-night disturbance call led to a DUI arrest at Pratt Park on River Road. The incident unfolded on June 8, 2024, around 1:14 AM when Deputy E.T. Osborn responded to a report from an intoxicated caller claiming a disturbance at the location.

Upon arrival, Deputy Osborn found a Ford F250 parked outside the park gates. The driver, exhibiting signs of intoxication, initially claimed he was unable to drive home due to broken car keys. However, it was quickly determined that the vehicle was equipped with a push-to-start feature and the keys were not broken.

Further investigation revealed the driver had been consuming Bud Light, supported by the presence of an empty Bud Light can found near the vehicle. After admitting to drinking, the driver was charged with driving under the influence.

He was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he was held until he could sober up. This arrest underscores the ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address and mitigate incidents of impaired driving, enhancing safety within the community.
