MILLERSVILLE, MD — A routine traffic stop on I-97 near Route 32 resulted in a significant arrest on the evening of June 13, 2024. Omar Garcia Gonzelez, a 40-year-old male from Ingleside, Texas, was taken into custody after police discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in his vehicle.
The incident occurred around 7:55 PM when a local officer stopped a green Ford pickup truck for a traffic violation. During the stop, the officer found the loaded weapon inside the passenger compartment of the truck. Further checks revealed that Gonzelez was driving without a valid license.
