HINESVILLE, GA—The Hinesville Police Department has announced the grim discovery of two Georgia firefighters who had been missing for several days. The bodies of Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander were found over the weekend in Cocke County, Tennessee, approximately 400 miles from Hinesville.

Authorities in Tennessee, along with local officials, have been searching for the missing individuals when they located the bodies and Anderson’s vehicle, a black 2017 Ford Focus, in an area roughly 230 miles east of Nashville. Details on the circumstances leading to their deaths have not been disclosed at this time.

The ongoing investigation is being handled by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and the Cocke County Sheriff’s Office, which have yet to release further information about the case.

The Hinesville Police Department extends its deepest sympathies to the families of Anderson and Kuhbander during this profoundly difficult period.

Local news media reported that days earlier, the previous couple got into a fight at a restaurant after the female firefighter saw him on a date with another woman inside an Olive Garden restaurant. She exited the restaurant and ended up keying his car after the argument.

The couple then went missing. Police later found their bodies in Tennesee.
