BOSTON, MA—The Boston Police Department has identified the victim of a recent homicide on Shawmut Avenue as 40-year-old Warren Julien of Jamaica Plain. The incident occurred early in the morning on Friday, July 5, 2024.
Officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a report of a shooting at 618 Shawmut Avenue at approximately 1:33 AM. Upon arrival, they found Julien suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
