Washington, D.C. – An 18-year-old suspect was apprehended early Sunday following two attempted robberies in Northeast, marking a swift resolution to incidents that caused alarm in the Fifth District.
Around 12:11 a.m., near the intersection of 18th Street and Benning Road, the suspect allegedly threatened a victim by implying he possessed a firearm. The victim escaped unharmed, and the suspect left empty-handed. Shortly after, at 12:25 a.m., a similar attempt occurred in the 1300 block of H Street, where another victim managed to evade the suspect, who again fled without stealing anything.
Officers responding to these incidents arrested Keshon Malik Wells of Northeast, charging him with attempted robbery. The successful apprehension underscores the effective response of local law enforcement to protect the community and swiftly address criminal activities.
