Woman Arrested for Drug and DUI Offenses After Claymont Crash

CLAYMONT, DEDelaware State Police have arrested 60-year-old Goldie Neibert of Lewes, Delaware, following a two-vehicle crash investigation that occurred on Monday night. The incident took place around 7:49 p.m. at the intersection of Ridge Road and Naamans Road in Claymont.

Upon arriving at the scene, where a white Chevrolet Equinox and a red Chevrolet Silverado were involved, EMS personnel found Neibert unconscious in the driver’s seat of the Equinox from an apparent drug overdose. She regained consciousness after EMS administered Narcan and was then taken to a local hospital for further medical treatment.

Further investigation revealed that Neibert’s vehicle struck the Silverado, which was stopped at a traffic light. The 45-year-old driver of the Silverado sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a hospital. A search of the Equinox led to the discovery of 241 small clear bags containing approximately 1.687 grams of heroin.

Neibert, whose driver’s license was found to be revoked, displayed signs of impairment when contacted by troopers at the hospital. She was charged with multiple offenses, arraigned, and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $5,000 secured bond.
