Newark Police Not Giving Search for Teen Missing Almost One Year Ago

by Breaking Local News Report

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 17-year-old Aaliyah Bryant, who has been missing since August 29, 2023.

Aaliyah was last seen in the area of the 100 block of Chancellor Avenue in Newark, wearing a long white T-shirt, black leggings, and carrying a cross-body bag.

Aaliyah is described as being 5’3” tall, weighing 300 pounds, with a light-brown complexion and blonde hair. She has a silver nose piercing and has been diagnosed with Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Given Aaliyah’s history as a frequent runaway and her medical conditions, officials are especially concerned for her welfare and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Those with any information regarding Aaliyah’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact Newark Police or the local authorities immediately.
