Road rage incident leads to assault at Stafford Wawa

STAFFORD, Va. — A road rage incident escalated into an assault at a Wawa on Eustace Road Thursday evening, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy C.A. Osborne responded to the scene around 8:04 p.m. on September 5, after a victim reported being assaulted. The victim had been driving nearby when the suspect hit his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim then confronted the suspect in the Wawa parking lot, where the suspect allegedly assaulted him.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office has obtained warrants for the suspect on charges of hit and run, as well as assault and battery. However, the warrants have not yet been served.
