NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Saturday in connection with a shooting that took place earlier in the day on Remington Place.

At approximately 11:59 a.m. on September 7, New Rochelle Police received a report of gunfire in the area. Officers arrived on the scene and determined that a confrontation had occurred between two individuals who were known to each other. One party opened fire on the other, but no injuries were reported.

Detectives quickly developed leads and located the suspect later the same day. Kollin Francis, 21, of New Rochelle, was taken into custody without incident. Police also recovered a .40 caliber Glock handgun, which had been reported stolen from Georgia.

Francis faces charges related to the shooting, though no details about specific charges were immediately available.
