Maryland State Police Arrest Road Rager Who Pulled Gun on Woman

GREKESPRING, MD – Maryland State Police arrested a 41-year-old man, David Belt, Jr., from White Hall, Maryland, following an alleged armed road rage incident on Thursday afternoon in Baltimore County. Belt faces charges including first and second-degree assault and firearm offenses after consultation with the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The incident reportedly took place shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 695, near Greenspring Avenue. According to the victim, who remains unidentified, the driver of a Ford, identified as Belt, allegedly pointed a firearm at her during the altercation. No injuries were reported from the incident.

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division responded promptly and took over the investigation. Belt’s vehicle was located Thursday evening, leading to his arrest and subsequent transportation to the Baltimore County Detention Center. During the arrest, police found two loaded handguns, and the investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
