Dover, DE- Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting that took place Thursday evening in Capitol Park.
Authorities received a call on October 12 at approximately 7:25 p.m. regarding a shooting at a residence along the 100 block of S. Governors Boulevard. An initial investigation indicates that a 17-year-old male and an acquaintance were outside the home when an unidentified suspect approached them. The suspect allegedly shot the teenager in the leg before escaping.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a black male, although no further details about him are available currently, and there is no surveillance footage of the incident.
