Wilkinsburg Man Sought by Police After Alleged Shooting Incident

Pittsburgh, PA – County Police are searching for a Wilkinsburg resident accused of firing shots at Pittsburgh Police detectives. The individual in question is 40-year-old Darrell Barham.

On Tuesday, around 5:30 a.m., two detectives were in plain clothes conducting surveillance on Barham at a Penn Hills residence. The detectives, who were in an unmarked vehicle, noticed Barham’s vehicle following them after they left the area. Shots were reportedly fired from Barham’s vehicle while they were on Hulton Road near Iowa Street.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit has launched an inquiry into the incident. During the investigation, detectives confirmed Barham was driving the vehicle involved in the shooting.

Barham, who stands 5’ 11” tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds, faces charges that include aggravated assault and firearm violations. Currently on federal probation, Barham is considered potentially armed and dangerous.
