Teenagers Indicted in String of Armed Carjackings

LANHAM, MD A detailed investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Carjacking Interdiction Unit has led to the indictment of two teenagers involved in a series of armed carjackings. The suspects, a 16-year-old male from Upper Marlboro and a 17-year-old male from Lanham, are being charged as adults.

These two teenagers face charges in connection with nine incidents, which include seven armed carjackings, one attempted armed carjacking, and a stolen vehicle case. The crimes took place between June 4 and July 9, affecting areas such as Bowie and Upper Marlboro.

The 16-year-old individual has been indicted on 43 charges related to armed carjacking and other offenses. Meanwhile, the 17-year-old faces an indictment with 31 counts of carjacking-related charges.

Authorities have confirmed the recovery of all vehicles involved in these incidents.
