BALTIMORE, MD — A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder in connection to a shooting that critically injured a 15-year-old in Baltimore’s Central District.
The shooting occurred on Monday, November 11, at approximately 3:22 p.m., when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 400 block of North Caroline Street. Police found the victim, a 15-year-old boy, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 500 block of North Caroline Street. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Central District detectives determined that the shooting stemmed from a robbery attempt. The 14-year-old suspect turned himself in at the Central District Police Station on Saturday, November 16. He was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident while the victim remains hospitalized.
