BEL AIR, Md. — A Mega Millions ticket sold at a Wawa in Harford County is now worth $1 million after matching all five white balls in the Dec. 10 drawing, Maryland Lottery officials announced Wednesday.
The winning ticket, purchased at Wawa #553 on Belair Road, marks the second $1 million Mega Millions prize sold in Maryland since the current jackpot roll began in September. The winning numbers were 12, 14, 26, 48, 52, and the Mega Ball was 21.
For selling the ticket, the retailer will receive a $2,500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery. The lucky winner has 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
This win follows an October $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Brooklyn Park, claimed by an Anne Arundel County resident. In addition to the latest $1 million prize, Maryland sold 31,655 other winning tickets for the Dec. 10 drawing, with prizes ranging from $2 to $500.
The Mega Millions jackpot continues to climb, now standing at an estimated $670 million for the next drawing on Dec. 13, with a cash option of $317.8 million.
