QUEENS, N.Y. — At least 10 people were wounded when multiple gunmen opened fire on a group standing outside a Queens nightclub late Wednesday night, New York City police said during a Thursday morning briefing.

The shooting occurred shortly after 11 p.m. outside the Amazura nightclub on 144th Street, where a private event was underway. Authorities say six women and four men were struck by gunfire. All are expected to survive, according to police.

Investigators believe three to four males, estimated to be in their mid-to-late teens or early 20s, approached the crowd waiting to enter the venue and fired approximately 30 shots. Around 90 people were inside the club at the time, which was operating at capacity.

Police are investigating whether the incident is gang-related but confirmed there is no link to terrorism. The gunmen fled the scene, and no arrests have been made as of Thursday morning.
