TOMS RIVER, N.J. — A man has been incarcerated in Ocean County after being charged with aggravated assault on a health care worker, according to jail records.
Asan M. Paige, 28, was committed to custody on Wednesday. He faces charges under N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1B(5)(J), a statute covering assaults committed against health care professionals in the course of their duties.
Court documents indicate Paige’s bond has been set at $20,000 with a 10% payment option. Jail records show the bond remains open, with no payment posted as of Thursday.
