Delaware Woman Charged in Road Rage Assault

Dover, DE* – The Delaware State Police have arrested Zoey Hickman, a 24-year-old woman from Magnolia, on charges of felony assault following a road rage incident that took place Thursday afternoon in Dover.

On January 30, 2025, at around 3:50 p.m., a state trooper was dispatched to address an assault related to road rage in the vicinity of North Dupont Highway and West Denney’s Road. Prior to the trooper’s arrival, Zoey Hickman was detained by an officer from the Cheswold Police Department. The trooper determined that the incident involved Hickman, driving a Volkswagen Jetta, and a Ford F-150 on North Dupont Highway. The two vehicles stopped next to each other in traffic, prompting an argument between Hickman and a passenger in the Ford.

During the altercation, the 73-year-old victim exited the Ford and approached the Jetta. Hickman also left her vehicle, but forgot to secure it in park. As the Jetta moved forward, the victim attempted to stop it by jumping in. Hickman then pulled the victim from the vehicle and threw her to the ground.
