Bingo Night Turns into $100K Payday with Ohio Lottery Scratch-Off

LUCASVILLE, Ohio — A night of Bingo in West Virginia led to an unexpected $100,000 windfall for an Ohio Lottery player who won big on the Bingo 50X scratch-off, lottery officials announced Monday.

After enjoying a traditional Bingo game, the lucky player stopped at Lucasville 1st Stop Store #104, located at 10938 State Route 104 in Lucasville, where he purchased several lottery tickets, including the winning Bingo 50X scratch-off.

The player initially won $25 and $50 on other tickets, which he cashed in to buy four more scratch-offs. One of those tickets turned out to be the $100,000 winner.

Shocked by the win, he described his reaction as overwhelming, jumping so high in excitement that he hit his head on the ceiling.

After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, he will receive approximately $72,000. He plans to invest his winnings.
