Gun-toting suspect in red Jordans wanted after DC robbery

WASHINGTON, DC – A robbery that occurred around 5 p.m. yesterday in Southeast Washington has sparked an active investigation, with police searching for a suspect last seen wearing red and white Jordan 11 sneakers and armed with a handgun.

The incident took place in the 1600 block of 17th Place SE. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect is described as a tall Black male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, a diamond watch, a diamond chain, and the distinctive red and white Jordan sneakers.

The suspect was reportedly armed with a black and gray handgun. Authorities have not released any further details about the robbery or whether there were any injuries.

Police are asking the public not to approach the suspect but to call (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411 if they have information.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
