SALISBURY, MD — Authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Monday night in Wicomico County after gunfire struck an occupied home and an unoccupied vehicle on the 30000 block of Zion Road.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 9:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired at the residential address. Upon arrival, deputies found that both a residence and a vehicle parked nearby had been hit by gunfire.

The house was occupied during the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division took over the investigation and canvassed the surrounding area for evidence. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed that physical evidence related to the shooting was recovered.

Officials have not released details regarding suspects or motive at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
